The handicraft based on old methods combines both utility and beauty together with the nature and allows the spirit of our ancestors to survive…
My fascination about handicraft has started after my first trip to the Folk University in Wzdów which I, as a teacher, has visited with my students. That day the idea was born to set up a circle of handicraft’s enthusiasts and since then on everything went very quickly.
Together with my students we started to create. At first some images from different natural materials, crochet and knitted products. The kind of works absorbed me so much, that I decided to show them to more people.
In 1998 I set up a Gallery „U TESI”. Now it is situated In the Museum of Folk Architecture in Sanok. The kind of exhibited works matches with the character of the place.
I am inspired by Nature and it suplies me with its richness of beauty, that I am exploring creating ecological images from leather, bark, moss… I offer also a wide range variety of products made by hand with crochet hooks and knitting needles. Working as a teacher, I have not much time and there is still much room in my Gallery. That is why I cooperate with a constant cluster of artisans from Bieszczady region, whose works can be seen and bought in my Gallery too. We have then oil and watercolour paintings, orthodox icons, sculptures, and many other art exhibits.
Any time you would like to visit the Bieszczady , you are kindly welcome to the gate of that region – a beautiful town Sanok. On the town limits, on a wide river San in the calm silence among ancient trees, you can find our SKANSEN, a monument of the culture left by Bieszczady ancestors.
By the end or beginning of your time travel along the history, please come and visit my Gallery “U TESI”, in the entrance building to the Sanok Museum of Folk Architecture. You can find here souvenirs, which let your memories of that unique place surround for a long time.
